The NED Show is Coming to Lantrip
The NED Show promotes academic achievement and character development by teaching three critical skills that will benefit kids for a lifetime:

Recycling Parade!
Recycling Parade
This year we will be celebrating Earth Day with an Earth Day Parade. On Thursday students may wear a white, blue, or green shirt with their uniform pants. Students are encouraged to create a costume using only recycled items.
Costume ideas [From Planet Pals.com] include:
- Make the Recycle Bin Costumes
- Make a PLANET PALS-- such as Earthman, Litterbug, Crush the Can.
- Be a recycle sign by drawing the recycle symbol on two large cards attached with string and worn over the shoulder
- Cover a bag with plastic bottles and or cans glued to it, cut a hole to go over your head-carry a sign that says "Recycle me", "Recycle Plastic" or "Recycle Cans" You can also wear a headband with bottle caps glued to it.
- Cover a box with Newspaper, cut a hole to go over your head, and 2 holes on the side for your arms-carry a sign that says "Recycle me" or "Recycle Paper".
- Create a headband or hat with recycled items.
Please be sure that your child is able to put their costumes on independently. Students will march around the school in our Earth Day Parade on April 21, 2011.

Free Family Night at the HMNS for HISD Community
HISD Free Family Night at
the Houston Museum of Natural Science
The Houston Museum of Natural Science would like to cordially invite you and your family to join us on April 21st from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. to explore how Cowboys, immigrants, farmers, and roughnecks had a unique role in forming the 28th state to join the Union.
The cost for the exhibit for the first 2,000 guests is FREE!
Thereafter, the exhibit will cost $5.00 per person.
In addition to viewing TEXAS! The Exhibition, we will also screen a free Texas-themed planetarium show at 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00 p.m.
Children under 3 years of age are free.
